FightStar Championships returns on Saturday 7th October 2017 at the Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre in Brentford, England for FightStar Championship 12.

FightStar Championships have today confirmed with MMA Mad that two amateur title bouts will be on the line at the event.

The FSC European Lightweight Championship is on the line as the current FSC British featherweight champion Umberto Dias is moving up to compete for the lightweight title against Hascen Gelezi.

Umberto Dias who is undefeated as an amateur at 5-0 won the featherweight title at FSC at FightStar Championship 8 earning a unanimous decision win over Kingsley Crawford and will now move up a weight class, hoping to gain European Championship gold

Hascen Gelezi who was born in Saudi Arabia currently trains at Evolution MMA and holds a 5-2-0 amateur record and looks to add a title belt to his resume.

The other title bout featured on the card features the British featherweight title as Kingsley Crawford meets Joe Harding for the gold.

Crawford who has won eight of his twelve amateur bouts is currently riding a two-fight losing streak. A title bout loss to Umberto Dias at FightStar Championship 8 was followed most recently by a unanimous decision loss to Aidan James at WFS 7 for the featherweight title.

Harding who won his first eight bouts in his amateur career has recently found himself on a three-fight losing skid. His last two losses came under the BCMMA banner as a first-round submission loss to Bartosz Skrok at BCMMA 17 before a viral highlight reel KO loss to Johan Segas at BCMMA 18.

Both fighters will be looking to turn around their amateur careers with a title bout win at FightStar Championship 12 in October.
