A UFC heavyweight title bout featuring champion Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou will officially headline the UFC 220 fight card in Boston.

UFC 220 will be held on January 20, 2018, at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The co-main event will feature a Light Heavyweight Championship bout between current champion Daniel Cormier and top contender Volkan Oezdemir.

MMAFighting reported the Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou bout announcement.

After winning the UFC heavyweight title against Fabrício Werdum at UFC 198, Miocic has defended the title twice. First time round he earned a first-round KO win over Alistair Overeem at UFC 203 before dealing the same fate to Junior dos Santos at UFC 211. Miocic earned post-fight bonus awards for all three of those wins.
