Kurt Holobaugh’s win over Matt Bessette on DWTNCS overturned to a no-contest

Following his win over Matt Bessette on the first episode of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, the Nevada State Athletic Commision filed a disciplinary complaint against the Kurt Holobaugh for allegedly using an IV after the weigh-in for the bout.

The complaint alleges that Holobaugh received more than 50 mL of fluid from an IV during a six-hour period after the weigh-ins prior to his Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series headlining bout, per NSAC management analyst Nyra Phillips. MMAJunkie first reported the story.

Holobaugh did not have a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for the treatment.

Holobaugh who won the bout via first-round TKO stoppage was called in front of the commission today to testify.

Following the hearing, the NSAC approved a 9-month suspension, $750 fine, pay attorney fees, and win over Bessette be over-turned to no-contest.
