Following a ‘Fight of the Night’ unanimous decision win over Renan Barão at UFC Fight Night: Almeida vs. Garbrandt, Stephens has lost two straight. A unanimous decision loss to Frankie Edgar at UFC 205 was followed by a split decision loss to Renato Moicano at UFC on Fox: Johnson vs. Reis.

Following a unanimous decision ‘Fight of the Night’ win over Diego Sanchez at UFC 166, Melendez has lost three straight prompting a move to 155lbs. Losses to Anthony Pettis, Eddie Alvarez, and Edson Barboza has El Niño needing a win badly in Edmonton.
