A welterweight bout has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night 121 fight card as new TUF winner Jesse Taylor meets Belal Muhammad at the event.
UFC Fight Night 121 will be held on 19 November 2017 at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.
The event will mark the promotion’s fifth visit to Sydney, and first since UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Bisping in November of 2014.
A heavyweight bout between Mark Hunt and Marcin Tybura will feature as the main event of the card.
During the last season of the Ultimate Fighter, Taylor earned a unanimous decision win over Mehdi Baghdad before earning a submission win over Hayder Hassan in the quarter-finals. Taylor then defeated James Krause via submission in the semis before submitting Dhiego Lima in the final.
Following a TKO loss to Vicente Luque at UFC 205, Muhammad has won two straight. A unanimous decision win over Randy Brown at UFC 208 was followed most recently by a unanimous decision win over Jordan Mein at UFC 213 in Las Vegas.
With this announcement, UFC Fight Night 121 now looks like this:
Mark Hunt vs. Marcin Tybura
Tai Tuivasa vs. Rashad Coulter
Ryan Benoit vs. Ashkan Mokhtarian
Jesse Taylor vs. Belal Muhammad
