Two bouts added to the UFC’s debut in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Two bouts have been added to UFC Fight Night 116 in the UFC’s first trip to Pittsburgh.

UFC Fight Night 116 will be held on September 16, 2017, at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

A welterweight bout between Thiago Alves and Mike Perry and a middleweight bout between Hector Lombard and Anthony Smith have officially been added to the card. Ariel Helwani of announced the two bookings.

Perry who won his first two UFC bouts over Hyun Gyu Lim and Daniel Roberts suffered his first UFC loss to Alan Jouban at UFC on FOX 22 via unanimous decision. In his last bout, however, Perry got back in the win column with a TKO win over Jake Ellenberger at UFC Fight Night 108.

Following a loss to Carlos Condit at UFC Fight Night 67, Alves dropped down to lightweight where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jim Miller at UFC 205 whilst also missing weight. In his last bout, he returned to welterweight earning a unanimous decision win over Patrick Côté at UFC 210.

Lombard is riding the first three fight losing streak of his career. Knockout losses by Neil Magny and Dan Henderson was followed most recently by a unanimous decision loss to Johnny Hendricks at UFC Fight Night 105.

Following a loss to Cezar Ferreira, Smith has won two straight. A TKO win over Elvis Mutapcic at The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale was followed by a third round TKO win over Andrew Sanchez at UFC on Fox: Johnson vs. Reis.

No headlining bout has been announced for this card at the time of writing.
