Damien Lapilus will look to defend his BAMMA featherweight title at BAMMA 31 in London as he is set to take on Daniel Crawford at the event.
BAMMA 31 takes place at the SSE Arena, Wembley on September 15th, 2017.
This bout joins a BAMMA middleweight title bout between Nathan Jones and Alex Lohore on BAMMA 31.
Lapilus has traded wins and losses in his last four bouts. A DQ loss to Martin Stapleton at BAMMA 25 fight the lightweight title was followed by a unanimous decision win over Alikhon Khasanov at Road to Abu Dhabi Warriors – Thailand. The Frenchman would then suffer a first-round TKO loss to Fares Ziam at Lyon Fighting Championship 7 before winning the BAMMA featherweight title last time out against Ronnie Mann at BAMMA 28: Parke Vs. Redmond.
Crawford is riding an impressive three-fight winning streak which has earned him a shot at the BAMMA gold on September 15th. A unanimous decision win over Kams Ekpo earned Crawford the WFS featherweight title was followed by a first-round TKO win over Alikhan Suleimanov at ACB 47 in Glasgow. His breakout performance, however, came in his last bout, where he dominated Ronnie Mann at BAMMA 29: McDermott Vs. Wolf, earning a first-round TKO stoppage.
