Conor McGregor is stepping up the trash talk by taking shots at Floyd Mayweather on social media.

Ahead of the rumoured boxing match between the two superstars, the Irishman has thrown shade on his senior counterpart.

In a Twitter post last night, McGregor stated:

“Man, much respect to Floyd Senior still getting a few rounds in at the gym. I hope I can still train at that age. Respect.”

Mayweather looks set to return to the ring after almost two years away from the sport with he faces McGregor on the proposed date of August 26.

Yesterday, Mayweather promotions reserved the MGM Grand for that specific date as the rumours intensifies around the potential mega fight.
