A featherweight bout featuring Ricardo Lamas and surging prospect Jason Knight has been added to the upcoming UFC 214 fight card.

UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2 will be held on July 29, 2, 17 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Lance Pugmire announced the bout.

A UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout between current champion Daniel Cormier and former champion Jon Jones has been targeted for this event.

Lamas was expected to face Chan Sung Jung at this event, however, Jung pulled out of the fight citing a knee injury and has now been replaced by Knight.

Following a loss to now unified featherweight champion Max Holloway, Lamas rebounded nicely last time out, earning a second-round submission win over Charles Oliveira at The Ultimate Fighter Latin America 3 Finale.

Since losing his UFC debut to Tatsuya Kawajiri, Knight has gone on a four-fight winning streak earning one ‘Fight of the Night’ and two ‘Performance of the Night’ bonuses in that span. Knight is coming off a third-round TKO win over Chas Skelly at UFC 211.
