Fabian Edwards to make professional MMA debut against Rafal Cejrowski at Bellator 179

The long awaited debut of Fabian Edwards was set to take place last night at BAMMA 29 in Birmingham.

However, the fight was pulled on weigh-in day against Mitchell Richards as Richards failed his medical and could not be Safe MMA registered.

However, Edwards will not have to wait long to make his debut, as he is scheduled to meet Rafal Cejrowski at Bellator 179 next weekend in London.

Bellator 179: MacDonald vs. Daley is scheduled to take place on May 19, 2017, at the SSE Arena in London, England. The Edwards vs. Cejrowski bout will air on the preliminary card which will be shown here on mmamad.com.

Edwards who has had a stellar amateur career in the younger brother of UFC fighter Leon Edwards. Going 10-0 as an amateur, the Birmingham-based fighter earned five domestic middleweight titles in Shinobi FC, MMAC,  Fightstar Championship,  Golden Ticket Fight Promotions and Battle Arena.

Cejrowski has won both of his professional fights to date. A unanimous decision against Joseph Karim in his debut at Budo 14 was followed most recently by a first round TKO win over Kes Mamba at Warrior Fight Series 7.
