A lightweight bout between Frankie Perez and Chris Wade has been added to the upcoming UFC on FOX 25 fight card.

UFC on Fox 25 will be held on July 22, 2017, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

Newsday announced the bout.

The event will be the first that the UFC has hosted in the Long Island area of New York.

Following a first round TKO win over Sam Stout at UFC Fight Night 74: Holloway vs. Oliveira in 2015, Frankie Perez shocked the MMA world by retiring. Over a year later, Perez came out of retirement and suffered a unanimous decision loss to Marc Diakiese at UFC Fight Night 102: Lewis vs. Abdurakhimov.

Following a four-fight winning streak since signing with the UFC, Wade has hit a rough patch and is now on the first two-fight losing streak of his career. Back to back losses over  Rustam Khabilov and Islam Makhachev have the New York native in need of a win in his home state.

With this news, UFC on FOX 25 now looks like this:

Gian Villante vs. Patrick Cummins
Chris Wade vs. Frankie Perez
