Aaron Pico to make MMA debut at Bellator NYC against Zach Freeman

The final fight on the Bellator NYC PPV card has been added as Aaron Pico will make his MMA debut against Zach Freeman.

Bellator NYC: Sonnen vs. Silva is scheduled to take place on June 24, 2017, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event will air on PPV.

MMAFighting reported the bout.

Pico is world champion wrestler who signed with Bellator in November 2014. This will be his first MMA bout and he is currently training with the likes of Daniel Cormier, Cain Velasquez and Luke Rockhold at the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California.

Freeman recently lost to Thiago Moisés for the RFA lightweight title and will be making his Bellator debut in New York City. Before the loss, Freeman had won eight of his first nine professional fights.
