The coaches of the new season of the Ultimate Fighter now have a fight date.
UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt and former champion TJ Dillashaw are currently coaching season 25 of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series and Dana White officially announced tonight at the UFC 210 post-fight press conference that the bout will take place at UFC 213.
UFC 213 will be held on July 8, 2017, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The event will take place during the UFC’s annual International Fight Week.
The night before the event is The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption Finale fight card.
Garbrandt won the UFC title by earning an impressive unanimous decision over then champion Dominick Cruz at UFC 207 in Las Vegas.
Dillashaw lost the title to Cruz at UFC Fight Night: Dillashaw vs. Cruz via a close split decision, however, has gone on a two fight winning streak since then, earning two impressive unanimous decision wins over Raphael Assunção at UFC 200 and John Lineker at UFC 207.
