With Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor both expressing interest in a boxing contest against each other, you would think, money aside that the fight would be easy enough to put together, with the blessing of the UFC.
However, UFC president Dana White doesn’t seem to be as upbeat about the chances of a Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather boxing fight as some do. In a quick chat with TMZ Sports, White stated that they were “nowhere” in terms of the bout coming together:
White spoke with TMZ Sports earlier this week and stated that they were “nowhere” in terms of the bout coming together:
“I don’t know where we’re at, we’re nowhere. We’re nowhere with it.”
White went on the state that he fully expects that McGregor’s next fight will take place in the UFC, not against Mayweather.
“I expect Conor’s next fight to be in the UFC, in mixed martial arts and the winner of Khabib (Nurmagomedov) vs. (Tony) Ferguson.”
