Sheldon Westcott pulls out of bout with Alex Morono; UFC seeking welterweight replacement

A welterweight spot has opened up UFC Fight Night 104 as Sheldon Westcott has pulled out his bout with Alex Morono with a dislocated elbow.

The UFC is currently seeking a last minute welterweight replacement.

UFC Fight Night 104 will be held on February 4, 2017 at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Westcott released the following statement on his Facebook page:

Hey everyone, I am sorry to let you guys know that I dislocated my elbow training last Friday and I have been forced to withdraw from my fight in Houston it’s a 2-month recovery then I will be back!! Thanks so much for the love and support!

Morono (13-3), the former Legacy FC welterweight champion is riding a career best seven-fight winning streak. A UFC debut win over Kyle Noke was followed most recently by a unanimous decision win over James Moontasri at UFC on Fox: VanZant vs. Waterson.
