Chris Fields vs. Andy Clamp title fight scrapped from BAMMA 27 card in Dublin

BAMMA has taken a hit to its card tomorrow night.

Jim Edwards first reported that the BAMMA light heavyweight title fight between Chris Fields and Andy Clamp has been scratched.

BAMMA announced during the weigh-ins today that the light heavyweight title fight had been scrapped due to medical issues to Andy Clamp.

BAMMA 27 takes place tomorrow night, 16th December 2016 3 Arena, Dublin in a co-promotion with Bellator 169.

MMA Mad has reached out to BAMMA for comment, however, the promotion has not yet responded.

Fields responded to the news on Facebook:

So everyone knows the fight is off now. I’m devastated because I’m ready to take that belt but my opponent has had to withdraw for medical reasons which I fully respect. I appreciate all the support and hopefully I can put on the performance you all deserve soon.
