Mike Wilkinson vs. Brendan Loughnane rematch set for ACB Manchester

ACB returns to the UK for the second time as it host’s an event at the Manchester arena on March 11th, 2016.

Already announced as the headliner of the event, current Venator Middleweight Champion and UFC veteran Luke Barnatt clashes with Poland’s Mamed Khalidov.

The promotion has now announced that Mike Wilkinson will take on Brendan Loughnane in a rematch of their 2012 bout at UFC on FX 6: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson.

In the first bout, Wilkinson earned a unanimous decision over Loughnane in a fight many scored for Loughnane.

Loughnane (12-2 MMA) is coming off a win last night against Paul Cook in the main event of Tankō Fighting Championships 2. Prior to the win, Loughnane defended his FCC lightweight title against David Lee and earned a second round TKO win over Eden Newton at Tankō Fighting Championships 1.

Wilkinson was released from the UFC following a unanimous decision loss to Makwan Amirkhani at UFC Fight Night 84: Silva vs. Bisping. Following the loss, Wilkinson signed to ACB and was matched against  Soso Nizharadze at Absolute Championship Berkut 41 where he lost a unanimous decision.

More bouts for this event are expected in the coming weeks.
