BAMMA targeting first show in Northern Ireland, Parke vs. Redmond rumoured headliner

FloCombat’s Jim Edwards is reporting that BAMMA are targeting a late-February show in Belfast and have already pencilled in a huge main event for Irish MMA fans.

The report states that a lightweight contest between Team Ryano’s Paul Redmond and Next Generation NI’s Norman Parke, is being earmarked for the main event slot.

Parke (22-5 MMA) recently competed outside of the UFC for the first time since winning The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes Lightweight Tournament back in 2012. In a back and forth contest, Parke defeated Andrew Fisher at ACB 47 earlier this year in Glasgow.

Redmond (11-6 MMA) signed with BAMMA following his release from the UFC following an 0-2 stint with the promotion. Redmond earned a unanimous decision win over Chris Stringer at BAMMA 26 – Saadeh vs. Young back in September.
No official announcement has yet been made by this promotion about the event or rumoured main event slot. Stay tuned to MMA Mad for more updates.
