Following the UFC Fight Night 101 card, the UFC announced the post-fight bonus winners of the night. The ‘Fight of the Night’ was the one-round slugfest which occurred in the main event.
Derek Brunson and Robert Whittaker left it all on the line in their highly anticipated middleweight clash. Whittaker would eventually come out on top, dropping Brunson and ending the fight with ground and pound on the mat. The contest earned both fighters ‘Fight of the Night’ honours.
Additionally, two ‘Performance of the Night’ bonuses were handed out, the first again to Whittaker, and the second to Tyson Pedro, who earned an impressive first-round submission win over Khalil Rountree.
Other numbers handed out at the post-fight press conference was the attendance of 13,721 which was a sell out and a gate of $2.2 million AUD.
