[Fight Recap] Vicente Luque puts Muhammad down with counter left hook

Vicente Luque picked up the first finish of the night when he landed a perfect counter left hand that dropped Belal Muhammad in the opening round of their UFC preliminary bout.

UFC 205 was held tonight (November 12, 2016) at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. This event featured UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor Challenge Eddie Alvarez for the UFC lightweight title. two other title fights, and an excellent preliminary card for promotion’s return to the Empire State.

Muhammad came out looking to get aggressive with his striking, and was able to land some good shots early, but the fight didn’t last long.  Luque blocked a right hand and immediately threw a counter left before Muhammad to finish an attempt at a high kick.

The shot wobbled Belal and dropped him.  Luque followed up with some more punches and the fight was called.  The finish came at 1:19 of the opening round.  It was Luque’s fourth victory in a row.

Luque improves to 11-5-1 with the finish, while Muhammad falls to 10-2.
