Two exciting bouts have been added to the UFC 206 card this evening including one featherweight title eliminator.
Anthony Pettis (19-5 MMA) will face Max Holloway (16-3 MMA) whilst Mitch Gagnon (12-3 MMA) will face Matthew Lopez (8-1 MMA) in a bantamweight bout, TSN announced the bouts.
UFC 206 will be held on December 10, 2016, at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.
A UFC Light Heavyweight Championship rematch between the current champion Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson is expected to headline the event.The pairing met previously in May of 2015 at UFC 187 with Cormier winning the fight (and the vacant title) via submission in the third round.
Pettis dropped down to featherweight in his last bout after losing 2 straight fights after dropping the UFC lightweight title to Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 185. ‘Showtime’ made a successful debut at 145lbs with a submission victory over Charles Oliveira in Vancouver on August 27th.
Holloway has won nine straight since a unanimous decision loss to Conor McGregor in 2013. ‘Blessed’ is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Ricardo Lamas at UFC 199.
