Nate “The Snake” Andrews and George “Lights Out” Sheppard will finally meet at a special CES MMA Thanksgiving Eve card on November 23 at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I.

The dynamic lightweights were set to fight earlier this year in the CES MMA cage, but Sheppard was forced to withdraw from the bout due to injury.

One of the hottest fighters on the East Coast right now, Andrews is eager to add Sheppard to his highlight reel. But going into this fight, Andrews understands there’s a lot more at stake than picking up his fourth straight stoppage victory.

“I’ve got a nice win streak with a lot of momentum behind me, and I’m hungry to keep it going on Thanksgiving Eve to keep moving up the ladder,” said Andrews. “If he tries to keep it standing, I’m going to knock him out. And if he tries to wrestle me, I’m going to get the submission.”

A 26-fight veteran who’s shared the cage with former CES MMA Welterweight Champion Gil de Freitas and a number of UFC fighters, Sheppard isn’t coming all the way from Virginia to help punch Andrews’ ticket to the UFC’s Octagon.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for my opponent, but he’s never fought anyone like me. If he thinks he’s going to walk through me, he’s going to be in for a long night,” said Sheppard, a proud owner of nine KO wins. “I’m going to fight my fight, and I’m going to have my hand raised.”
