Mark Godbeer vs. Justin Ledet added to UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast

The former BAMMA heavyweight champion Mark Godbeer gets his first UFC fight at UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast as he takes on Justin Ledet.

UFC Fight Night 99 will be held on November 19, 2016, at The SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland

Godbeer won BAMMA heavyweight title at BAMMA 21 by defeating UFC veteran Paul Taylor in the second round TKO. Making his first title defence, Godbeer defeated then interim BAMMA heavyweight title holder and former teammate Stuart Austin, in the second round, also via TKO.

During the last year, Godbeer has been scheduled for two huge opportunities in the world of MMA with none of those coming to fruition. The first, was the RIZIN heavyweight Grand Prix tournament, which he would have to pull out of due money issues and was replaced by Brett McDermott.

He was also scheduled to take part on the main card of Bellator’s debut show in London, however, when he was demoted from the main card without being told, Godbeer withdrew from the show all together.

Now he gets a chance on the biggest stage against Justin Ledet in Belfast.

Ledet made his UFC debut last time out against Chase Sherman at UFC Fight Night 92 – Rodriguez vs. Caceres where he earned a unanimous decision win.

With this fight, UFC Fight Night 99 now looks like this:

Dong Hyun Kim vs. Gunnar Nelson
Anna Elmose vs. Amanda Cooper
Ian McCall vs. Neil Seery
Ross Pearson vs. James Krause
Mark Godbeer vs. Justin Ledet
