C.B. Dolloway Injured By Faulty Elevator, Out Of UFC 203

There have been a lot of last minute pull-outs from UFC cards in the past few years, but this may be the oddest reason yet.

C.B. Dolloway was reportedly injured last night while riding a faulty elevator in his Cleveland hotel. After consulting with doctors, it was determined that the best course of action was for Dolloway to remove himself from the card.

A brief statement has been released on UFC.com regarding the incident:

UFC announced that CB Dollaway has had to withdraw from his scheduled bout at UFC 203 due to an injury he suffered last night as a result of an elevator accident at a hotel in Cleveland.

UFC officials have been in communication with hotel management, and the hotel is currently evaluating and investigating the issues surrounding the incident.

As reported by MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz – with contributions from Ariel Helwani – Urijah Faber, Fabricio Werdum, Yancy Medeiros and Brad Tavares also had some elevator trouble on Friday.¬†Apparently, all four fighters got¬†stuck in an elevator for ten minutes, begging the not-so-serious question: Is this hotel haunted?
