Full lineup announced for CES 38, including four preliminary bouts

Before CES 38 goes live on AXS TV Fights, some of the future’s brightest stars will showcase their skills on September 23, under the bright lights at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn.

“We’re always searching for new talent to showcase on AXS TV,” stated CES MMA Matchmaker Pat Sullivan. “There are limited TV slots, of course. But an impressive win on the prelim card is the way to earn one of the slots.”

In the prelim “featured bout,” Connecticut fan-favorite Pete “The Heat” Rogers Jr., battles Maine’s Derek Shorey, who’s making his second trip to the CES MMA cage.

In his highly anticipated pro debut, Milford phenom Kris Moutinho clashes with New York’s Matt Maldonado.

Also making his pro debut is the always-exciting Richie Santiago, who collides with New York’s Quentin Gaskins.

Making his CES MMA debut, Connor Barry, from the fighting town of Dracut, squares off against The Granite State lightweight Wayne Ahlqhuist.

Sullivan offered some advice when asked about the prelim matchups.

“Get there early to witness these future stars. The prelims are often some of the most exciting fights of the night. These guys enter the cage with one goal in mind — finish in impressive fashion — because they all want to move up that ladder.”
