Paul Craig injured, out of BAMMA 26 title fight against Chris Fields

BAMMA 26 has taken a huge hit as light heavyweight champion Paul Craig has suffered an injury and is out of his main event title fight against Chris Fields.

MMAPlus and The Sprawl first reported the injury. There is no news currently as to whether Chris Fields will be staying on the card but expect to hear news on this in the coming days from the promotion.

BAMMA 26 takes place on 10th September 2016, at the  3 Arena, in Dublin.

Originally scheduled to have three world title fights and one Lonsdale title on the line, the light heavyweight title between Craig and Fields is now in jeopardy, however, the card still includes a middleweight world title fight, a flyweight world title fight and a bantamweight Lonsdale title fight.

Craig won the BAMMA light heavyweight title at BAMMA 23 when he submitted Marcin Lazarz in the first round.

Fields earned a light heavyweight title shot by securing a first round submission of his own, against Dan Konecke at BAMMA 24 which was also held in Dublin.
