Ben Rothwell injured, out of bout with Fabricio Werdum at UFC 203

The injury bug strikes again.

This time, the heavyweight co-main event bout between former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum and Ben Rothwell has taken a hit as Rothwell has sustained a knee injury per Steven Marrocco of MMAJunkie.

The UFC are seeking a replacement for Rothwell.

UFC 203: Miocic vs Overeem will be held on September 10, 2016, at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. This will be the first UFC event in Cleveland.

The event will headlined by a UFC Heavyweight Championship bout between current champion Stipe Miocic defending the title former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem.

Werdum (20-6-1 MMA) lost the UFC heavyweight title last time around, following a KO loss to Stipe Miocic at UFC 198 in Brazil.

Rothwell (36-10 MMA) had a four fight winning streak snapped last time out, following a unanimous decision loss to former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos at UFC Fight Night: Rothwell vs. dos Santos.

With this news, UFC 203 now looks like this:
