Full Contact Contender announces exciting undercard for FCC 17 on September 24th

Full Contact Contender has announced the initial undercard bouts for FCC 17: Leary vs Sinclair, which takes place on September 24th at Manchester’s Event City.

Heavy-hitting Bellator veteran Karl Etherington takes on Poland’s Kamil Bazelak. The pair first met on BAMMA 19, where the experienced Pole scored a huge upset TKO victory in the first round. Etherington – whose only other loss came at the hands of Bellator and WWE star Bobby Lashley – will be looking for revenge on September 24th.

FCC hero Brett ‘The Spartan’ McDermott returns home after plying his trade on both BAMMA and Japan’s RIZIN promotion. The former FCC amateur champion was a linchpin of the promotion’s early events, and will look to get back on track following a recent defeat when he takes on renowned light-heavyweight gatekeeper Dan Konecke. The bout will McDermott’s first as a pro in the FCC cage.

After a barn-storming welterweight debut at FCC 16, Ashley ‘The Beast’ Reece will jump straight back into the fray against fearless slugger Ant Davies. Davies is arguably the hardest hitter Reece has faced to date and is eager to steal the FCC prodigy’s thunder.

Elsewhere on the card, undefeated ‘Smooth’ Sam Spencer faces Alliance BJJ’s Brent Crawley in a bantamweight showdown.

FCC 17 will continue the promotion’s legacy of matching the UK’s hottest up-and-coming talents for it’s much sought-after amateur titles. Recently crowned amateur middleweight champion Jenaid Ebanks (6-0 AM) of Apex MMA takes on FCC amateur light heavyweight champion, FCPC’s Brent Tierney (4-1 AM) for the former’s 185lb title.

Promoter Adam Teh said “FCC 17 is the start of a new chapter in the promotion’s storied history. From humble beginnings in a TA hall in Bury, to the Macron Stadium and now Manchester’s illustrious Event City, FCC fans should get ready for the next step in our evolution. I’m thrilled to host a stunning main event like Leary vs Sinclair, and with the addition of fighters from every stage of FCC’s development like Mitchell Richards, Brett McDermott, Ashley Reece and Brent Tierney set to appear, FCC fans new and old are in for a real treat on September 24th!”
