Exclusive: Charlie Leary set to defend FCC title against Rob Sinclair at FCC 17

The main event has been announced for FCC and it’s a cracker. Charlie Leary will defend his lightweight title against Bellator and BAMMA veteran Rob Sinclair. FCC announced the bout to MMA Mad on Thursday night.

FCC 17 will take place on Saturday 24th September at the Event City Trafford Centre, Manchester.

Leary (12-7 MMA) won the FCC lightweight title in his last bout against Michael Bowman at FCC 16 via unanimous decision. Leary, who is currently riding a four-fight winning streak now holds the FCC, BCMMA and Budo lightweight titles.

Sinclair (13-3 MMA) has recently talked about struggling to get fights, however ‘C4’ now faces Leary after over a year without having a fight. Sinclair last fought at BAMMA 21 against Michael Brightmon, earning a first round TKO win for the former BAMMA lightweight champion.

No other bouts have been announced by FCC for FCC 17 however expect more announcements in the coming days/weeks.
