Report: Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson verbally agreed for October

The fight that fans have been calling for will actually happen? Well, Combate is reporting that a bout between Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson has been verbally agreed for a UFC event in October per Combate.

Although an event was not named in the report, UFC 204 has been rumoured to be taking place in Manchester, England, the home of UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping although no official announcement has been made by the UFC.

Bisping (29-7 MMA) finally earned UFC gold by defeating then champion Luke Rockhold via TKO at UFC 199 on just over two weeks notice. Prior to the bout, Bisping earned decision wins over CB Dollaway, Thales Leites and former UFC middleweight king Anderson Silva earning Bisping the shot at UFC 199 as Chris Weidman withdrew from the bout with a neck injury.

Henderson (32-14 MMA) is coming off a vicious KO win over Hector Lombard and following the win, fans started calling for a rematch of the UFC 100 bout with Bisping, a bout where Henderson won via second round KO following a stint as coaches on the Ultimate Fighter.

No official word from the UFC on this rumour, however with Bisping and Henderson both reaching the end of their career, it seems like the perfect time for this rematch to happen for both men.

Stay tuned to MMA Mad for updates on this bout.
