Two massive bouts added to UFC 202 in Las Vegas

Anthony Johnson vs. Glover Teixiera has officially been re-booked as the co-main event for UFC 202 and a welterweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Rick Story has also been added to the card.

MMA Junkie reported the two fights.

UFC 202 will be held on August 20, 2016 at T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas, Nevada.

The event is expected to be headlined by a welterweight rematch between The Ultimate Fighter 5 winner and former lightweight title challenger Nate Diaz and current UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor.

Glover Teixeira was expected to face Anthony Johnson on July 23, 2016 at UFC on Fox 20. However on June 18, 2016 it was announced that Anthony Johnson pulled out of the fight and has no been placed as the co-main event for UFC 202 in Las Vegas.

Cerrone (30-7-1) is riding a two fight winning streak since moving up to welterweight after a lightweight title loss to Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on Fox: dos Anjos vs. Cerrone 2. A submission win over Alex Oliveira in his welterweight debut was followed up most recently by a TKO win over Patrick Cote at UFC Fight Night: MacDonald vs. Thompson earlier this month.

Story (19-8 MMA)  returned from an 18-month layoff to face Tarec Saffiedine on May 29, 2016 at UFC Fight Night 88, a fight he won via unanimous decision. Story is currently riding a three fight winning streak.

With this announcement, UFC 202 now looks like this:

Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor
Anthony Johnson vs. Glover Teixiera
Donald Cerrone vs. Rick Story
Hyun Gyu Lim vs. Sultan Aliev
Thiago Alves vs. Al Iaquinta
Cody Garbrandt vs. Takeya Mizugaki
