Will Brooks signs with the UFC, meets Ross Pearson at the TUF 23 Finale


Will Brooks finally has a new home.

The former Bellator lightweight champion has signed with the UFC which was first reported by MMA Junkie. Brooks will officially replace the injured James Krause and take on English lightweight Ross Pearson at the TUF 23 Finale in Las Vegas.

The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale will be held on July 8, 2016 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This event is a part of UFC International Fight Week.

Brooks (18-1 MMA), recently agreed to his Bellator release with the promotion and left the Bellator lightweight champion. Brooks last fought at Bellator 145 on November where he defended his belt against Marcin Held and is currently on an eight-fight wining streak.

Pearson (19-10 MMA) has been up and down on form as of late however the 31-year-old Englishman last competed in March, defeating Chad Laprise via split decision at UFC Fight Night 85.

With this fight addition, the TUF 23 Finale now looks like this:
