He pulled out of that fight with a neck injury. He was supposed to rematch Chad Mendes at UFC 176, but pulled out and the two instead met at UFC 179. Finally Aldo pulled out of the biggest fight of his career against Conor McGregor at UFC 189 and was replaced by Chad Mendes. Aldo and McGregor woulde eventually fight at UFC 194 where McGregor won the fight via KO in 13 seconds.
