UFC cut seven fighters including former TUF winner

The UFC has once again released a number of fighters who had not had the best time of late inside the octagon including the Ultimate Fighter season 8 winner Efrain Escudero and formally announced Robert Whiteford. Sherdog reported the news.

Other fighters include:

Clint Hester: (11-6 MMA) is coming off three straight losses, two TKO’s by Robert Whittaker and Vitor Miranda and most recently was submitted by Marcos Rogerio de Lima at UFC 197.

Willie Gates: (12-7 MMA) is coming off two straight losses, firstly to Dustin Ortiz via TKO (elbows and punches) at UFC Fight Night: Teixeira vs. Saint Preux and most recently to Ulka Sasaki via submission (rear-naked choke) at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Arlovski.

Dominic Waters: (9-5 MMA) is coming off three straight losses to George Sullivan via unanimous decision, Dong Hyun Kim via TKO and most recently to Leon Edwards also via unanimous decision.

Yan Cabral: (12-3 MMA) is coming off two straight losses to Johnny Case via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night: Belfort vs. Henderson 3 and most recently to Reza Madadi via TKO (punches) at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Arlovski.

Filip Pejic: (10-2 MMA) made his UFC debut against Damian Stasiak at UFC Fight Night 86 – Rothwell vs. Dos Santos however he lost via submission in the first round.
