Ariel Helwani announced on Saturday night that the UFC was targeting Brock Lesnar to feature in the co-main event at UFC 200.
The UFC subsequently announced via a promotional video that Lesnar would indeed return at UFC 200.
Following the breaking news Helwani was removed from the arena and his credentials removed by the UFC.
Helwani spoke with Yahoo Sports yesterday to further speak about his interactions with Dana White on the night of UFC 199.
“I was brought to the back by UFC [public relations] and told by Dana White that I had to leave the arena,” Helwani said. “Dana mentioned that from what I recalled that Brock Lesnar was upset the news was released early and that this could have ruined their deal.”
