A rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz has finally been finalised to headline UFC 202. The UFC announced the fight during the UFC 199 broadcast following an initial report from Ariel Helwani.
UFC 202 will take place on August 20, 2016 at a venue TBA in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McGregor was originally set to face Nate Diaz in a welterweight rematch at UFC 200 in July, but the SBG Ireland product was pulled from the card after refusing to fulfill media obligations in Las Vegas. Diaz was succesful in the first contest at UFC 196, winning via rear-naked choke in the second round.
There has been crazy rumours circulating recently that McGregor may possibly fight in a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, however the announcement of this fight should be the end of these rumours.Check out our latest podcast episode featuring Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports.
