Injuries have hurt the upcoming FCC 16 fight card as Jordan Desborough has pulled out of his fight with former BAMMA bantamweight champion Ed Arthur and Callum Jones has also pulled out of his fight with recent BAMMA signee Paul Redmond
FCC 16 is due to take place on June 18th at Bolton’s Macron Stadium. The updated fight card can be found here.
Arthur (7-1 MMA) signed for FCC less than a week after a TKO win against Cameron Else on BAMMA 25. Arthur had been granted a one-fight release from his BAMMA contract in order to fight Desborough.
Desborough (10-4 MMA) a familiar fixture to the FCC roster, was on a roll after making it three consecutive wins with his second round TKO on FCC 14.
The former Cage Warriors contender, Redmond (10-6 MMA) was let go from the UFC following two straight losses to Mirsad Bektic at UFC on FOX 14 in Sweden as a late replacement where Redmond had to cut a vast amount of weight in a short period of time. In his last bout, Redmond took on Scotlands own Robert Whiteford at UFC Fight Night 72 in Glasgow. Redmond won the fight via TKO following a promoising start to the contest from Redmond. BAMMA had also given Redmond a release for one fight until their sort out their new medical practices.
Jones (8-1 MMA) is the current ShocknAwe champion and is riding a five fight winning streak however with this pull out, it looks as though it may take him a bit longer to get his sixth win in a row.
