A welterweight bout between Michael Graves and Bojan Velickovic and a bantamweight bout between Francisco Rivera and Erik Perez has been added to UFC 201.
UFC 201: Lawler vs. Woodley is an upcoming mixed martial arts event that will be held on July 30, 2016 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This will be the third that the organisation has hosted in Atlanta, following UFC 88 in September of 2008 and UFC 145 in April of 2012.
The event is expected to be headlined by a UFC Welterweight Championship bout between current champion Robbie Lawler and top contender Tyron Woodley.
Graves (6-0 MMA) has gone 2-0 since the Ultimate Fighter season 22. A unanimous decision win in his UFC debut against Vicente Luque was followed up by a submission (rear-naked choke) win over Randy Brown at UFC on FOX 19.
Velickovic (14-3 MMA) made his trade in RFA before entering the UFC earlier this year in Croatia. Velickovic has won five straight, most recently decisioning Alessio Di Chirico in his octagon debut.
Rivera (11-6 MMA) is currently riding a two fight skid. The exciting bantamweight lost to John Lineker at UFC 191 in a ‘Fight of the Night’ performance. Most recently, Rivera lost a controversial split decision to Brad Picket at UFC Fight Night 84 in London.
Perez (15-6 MMA) has traded wins and loses in his last four fights. A split decision loss to Takeya Mizugaki was followed up by a unanimous decision win over Edwin Figueroa at UFC 167. A submission loss to Bryan Caraway was followed up most recently by a unanimous decision win over Taylor Lapilus at The Ultimate Fighter Latin America 2 Finale: Magny vs. Gastelum in November.
With these two additions, UFC 201 now looks like this:
Robbie Lawler (c) vs. Tyron Woodley
Demetrious Johnson (c) vs. Wilson Reis
Cláudio Silva vs. Siyar Bahadurzada
César Arzamendia vs. Damien Brown
Michael Graves vs. Bojan Veličković
Francisco Rivera vs. Érik Pérez
