South Boston’s James Murrin and #LongIsland’s Tom English, who meet at #CES36 at Twin River Casino on June 10, have never had an “easy fight” in the CES MMA cage.
Murrin went the distance with Joe Pingitore and Mak Kelleher; English lost to CES MMA World Featherweight Champion Andre Soukhamthath and #UFC fighter Kyle Bochniak.
On June 10 at Twin River Casino, both hard-hitting featherweights need an impressive win to keep pace in the stacked 145-pound division.
Murrin, one of South Boston’s most promising fighters and a seven-time CES MMA veteran, is excited to get his career back on track in a major way.
“I’m starving for it! Over the past few years, my professional career has been hit-or-miss. In my mind, I should be 7-0 with seven finishes. Now I’ve got the pedal to the metal and I’m working really hard to get where I should be,” said Murrin.
But English, who’s known to MMA fans as “The Terror,” won’t make it easy.
“It doesn’t matter who I’m fighting; I’m ready to go,” boasted English. “I’m excited to get in there and put these past couple fights behind me and have my hand raised.”
