UFC 201 or UFC 202’s dates have not officially been announced by the UFC yet, however one of these events may include a brash Irishman looking for revenge. Dana White stated at the UFC 200 press conference in Las Vegas that McGregor would not fight on UFC 200, however would more likely fight at UFC 201 or UFC 202.
This seems to have been confirmed by his coach, John Kavanagh via his Facebook page.
McGregor, 27, was due to rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 200 in the main event, but was pulled from the card after refusing to fulfil promotional duties. A rematch between UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and interim champ Jon Jones will now headline the flagship show in Las Vegas on July, 9.
A rematch against Nate Diaz at UFC 201 or UFC 202 or the winner of the interim featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar barring injuries seem’s like McGregor’s most likely option at this juncture.
