A UFC Fight Night 90 will be held on July 7, 2016 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be the first of three events in as many days in Las Vegas, culminating with UFC 200. It also marks the second North American card to air live exclusively on their subscription-based digital network, UFC Fight Pass, and will also be the first men’s championship fight to be broadcast over that medium.
Duffy (14-2 MMA) is coming off the first loss in his UFC run thus far. A TKO win over Jake Lindsey was followed up with a ‘Performance of the Night’ submission win over Ivan Jorge in Glasgow. Duffy took a huge step up on competition when he faced Dustin Poirier at UFC 195. Poirier would go on to win a unanimous decision.
Clarke (11-3 MMA) is also coming off a loss, a unanimous decision to Tony Ferguson at UFC Fight Night 63. Prior to the defeat, Clarke defeated John Maguire via unanimous decision and submitted Al Iaquinta with a d’arce choke at UFC 161 and UFC 173 respectively.
UFC Fight Night 90 is expected to be headlined by a UFC Lightweight Championship bout between current champion Rafael dos Anjos and former two-time Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez.Check out our latest podcast episode featuring Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports.
