[Breaking] Conor McGregor will face the winner of Aldo vs. Edgar next

Dana White announced at the UFC 200 press conference today that Nate Diaz will fight at UFC 200, however he will not rematch his UFC 196 fight against Conor McGregor.

When asked who McGregor would face next, White announced that the Dublin native would take on the winner of the interim featherweight title fight between former champion Jose Aldo and former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar which also takes place at UFC 200.

UFC 200 will be held on July 9, 2016 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jose Aldo (25-2 MMA) first fought Frankie Edgar at UFC 156 in February, 2013 where Aldo earned a unanimous decision victory in a ‘Fight of the Night’ tilt to retain his UFC featherweight title.

Aldo lost the title to McGregor at UFC 194 via KO in just 13 seconds.

White also announced that the fight would not take place at UFC 205 which is scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden New York on Nov 12, 2016.
