UFC Octagon

The UFC has released another two fighters from its rosters as middleweight Chris Dempsey and women’s strawweight fighter Emily Peters Kagan will both be looking for new organisations to compete under.

UFCFightersInfo on Twitter announced the releases.

Chris Dempsey (11-4 MMA) went on a 1-3 run under the UFC banner. A KO debut loss to Ilir Latifi at UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin was followed up but a split decision win over Eddie Gordon at UFC on FOX 15. However back to back losses Jonathan Wilson and Scott Askham, both via TKO/KO at UFC Fight Night 73 and UFC Fight Night 84 respectively has Dempsey looking at fighting under a new promotion in the future.

Kagan (3-3 MMA) a member of season 20 of the Ultimate Fighter has lost back to back fights in the UFC, forcing their hand and releasing Kagan. Following a majority decision loss to Joanne Calderwood on the show, Kagan would go onto lose to Angela Hill at the finale of the show via unanimous decision. In her last bout with the promotion Kagan would lose via rear-naked choke to Kailin Curran at UFC Fight Night 80 in Las Vegas.
