BAMMA 26 heads to Dublin on 4 June, Craig vs. Fields headlines for 205lb strap

BAMMA has this morning officially announced that they are returning to Dublin’s 3 arena on June 4th for BAMMA 26. BAMMA has also announced that Paul Craig will try to defend his title against Chris Fields.

This will be the third time that BAMMA has held an event in Dublin following BAMMA 22 and BAMMA 24.

Craig (8-0 MMA) has looked impressive during his BAMMA run thus far. Making his BAMMA debut at BAMMA 22 in hostile territory against Karl Moore in Dublin, Craig earned an impressive second round guillotine choke submission win earning him a shot at the BAMMA light heavyweight title. Craig took the oppourtunity with both hands when he submitted then champion Marcin Lazarz at BAMMA 23: Night of Champions in the third round to claim 205lb gold.

Fields (11-7 MMA) suffered two back to back losses since joining BAMMA until picking up his first win last time out. A TKO loss to former middleweight champion Cheick Kone was followed by a controversial submission loss to Christopher Jacquelin at BAMMA 22. Fields rebounded nicely however with a submission win of his own over late replacement Dan Konecke at BAMMA 24 via Brabo choke.

BAMMA have not yet announced any other fights for this event but expect some more fights to be added in the coming days/weeks.
