Nurmagomedov calls for fight with Pettis, Cerrone or RDA following Ferguson injury

Khabib Nurmagomedov

Following the withdrawl of Tony Ferguson from their main event slot at UFC on FOX 19, Khabib Nurmagomedov is willing to take on anyone at 155lb including the champion, Rafael dos Anjos.

Nurmagomedov (22-0 MMA) has not fought inside the UFC octagon since April 19, 2014, where he defeated current champion Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on FOX 11 via a dominant unanimous decision. dos Anjos, now the 155lbs champion has not lost since the bout against Nurmagomedov and is currently recovering from a broken foot which kept him from defending the UFC lightweight title at UFC 196 against featherweight champion Conor McGregor.

Nurmagomedov was expected to face Donald Cerrone on May 23, 2015 at UFC 187. However, Nurmagomedov pulled out of the bout on April 30 due to a knee injury. Cerrone is expected to face Patrick Côté at welterweight on June 18, 2016 at UFC Fight Night 89 but would be willing to step up and face Numagomedov if the bout with Cote can still happen per Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting.
