It appears that Ovince St. Preux has won the race to meet Jon “Bones” Jones in the main event of UFC 197 on April 23rd in Las Vegas, NV.
Jeremy Botter is reporting the development. The announcement was confirmed shortly by Dana White on ESPN’s Sportscenter.

St. Preux (19-7) was granted the shot at the former light heavyweight kingpin after current champion Daniel Cormier was forced to withdraw from the bout due to an injury suffered in training. OSP last competed in February at UFC Fight Night 82 when he survived a dicey first round against former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Rafael Cavalcante and eventually earned a unanimous decision. St. Preux has won 3 out of his last 4 fights with his last defeat coming at the hands of light heavyweight contender Glover Texeira last August.
The bout will now be contested for the UFC interim light heavyweight title.
