It has been announced on Wednesday’s episode of UFC Tonight that former longtime featherweight champion Jose Aldo will rematch Frankie Edgar for the UFC interim featherweight championship this July at UFC 200. The winner will face reigning champion Conor McGregor, who faces Nate Diaz in a rematch of their clash at UFC 196, at a later date.
Aldo last fought in December at UFC 194 where he was knocked out by Conor McGregor in a title fight record 13 seconds. Edgar is coming off of a knock out victory over Chad Mendes the night before at UFC: TUF Finale.
