Even though Conor McGregor was defeated in their first bout at UFC 196, he is the betting favourite in the potential rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 200.
Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has the UFC featherweight champion as a McGregor as a 8/13 favourite over 5/4 underdog Diaz.
Reports have been circulating over the past couple of weeks following an initial report from MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani that the UFC were looking to do a rematch of the UFC 196 main event at UFC 200 however nothing has been confirmed by the organisation at the time of writing.
UFC 200 takes place on July 9 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McGregor was expected to face UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos on March 5, 2016 at UFC 196 in an attempt to become the first UFC dual-weight champion. However, it was announced on February 23 that dos Anjos withdrew from the fight after breaking his foot a few days before. McGregor instead faced Nate Diaz, who took the fight on eleven days notice, in a welterweight bout and would eventually lose via submission in the second round to the Stockton, Calif native.
