The Georges St Pierre return rumours are heating up one again.
Renzo Gracie appeared on the MMA Hour on Monday afternoon and when asked about the possible return on the former UFC welterweight champion GSP, Gracie seemed confident that the Canadian will be back.
When asked about St. Pierre at the UFC 196 post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White acknowledged that his organisation had been in conversation with him. White didn’t elaborate, but it was enough to get the MMA world buzzing.
Firas Zahabi has also had in say on the return of St-Pierre.
“He told me, he did tell me when he was close to the octagon he felt that feeling again,” Zahabi said. “I personally believe he has a lot of fight left in him. He’s phenomenal, the guy is still an incredible athlete, as usual.
“He’s still the best in the world, in my opinion.”
Georges St-Pierre (25-2 MMA) has not been seen in the UFC since his split decision win over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 where he defended the UFC Welterweight Championship and also earned Fight of the Night for his efforts.
