CES MMA 34 is scheduled for April 1st, at Foxwoods Resort Casino and is to be headlined by a welterweight championship bout between Chris Curtis and Nah-Shon Burrell.
There’s been a switch in opponents for one of the main card bouts, as injury forced bantamweight Rodrigo Almeida out of competition. Johny Campbell will now face late-replacement Matt Lozano (5-3) on April 1st.
Lozano is a Pennsylvania native who has competed for the likes of World Series of Fighting and Bellator. This upcoming bout will mark his promotional debut with CES MMA, and he is very excited for the opportunity.
Matt Lozano caught up with CES MMA to share his thoughts on the fight:
This is a huge opportunity for me — I’ve always wanted to fight for CES. This is a great opportunity for me. The guy is a fighter. He’s very similar to the way I like to fight; he’s fast-paced, he goes for it. He’s going to bring it and I’m going to bring it. We’re going to battle and only one of us will have our hand raised in the end. I’m confident it’s going to be me.
